he food is a highlight of staying at Old Whyly. Sarah is a passionate cook who trained in Paris and has continued to adapt and modernize her cooking over the years.

Produce is local, if not homegrown, with eggs laid by her prize-winning hens and ducks that wonder through the garden. The honey for her famous breakfasts is from the bees in the orchard.

Dinner is served in the elegant dining room. During hot summer days meals can take place under the vine covered pergola on the terrace.

Sarah explains a few of her well guarded kitchen secrets in the April 2005 issue of Waitrose Food Illustrated. You can click here to read the article.
